Privacy Policy

Foldwalls is designed to keep your wallpapers and personal media on your Mac. We do not require a Foldwalls account, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers. Online data is used only to deliver content, find music artwork or lyrics, complete purchases, activate licenses, provide updates, and answer support requests.

1. Who operates Foldwalls

Foldwalls is operated by Rambox (“Foldwalls,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the Foldwalls macOS app, this website, license activation, purchases, and support. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to rambox@88.com.

2. Information kept on your Mac

The app stores the information needed to remember and run your setup locally, including:

Your imported photos, videos, and 3D files are not uploaded to Foldwalls. Removing an item, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app removes the corresponding local information, subject to normal macOS backups.

3. Website and catalog use

When the website or app requests a page, catalog entry, preview, wallpaper, update, or installer, the hosting and delivery provider receives ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser or app user agent, requested URL, date, and time. This is used to deliver the request, maintain security, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse.

The Foldwalls website does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or non-essential tracking cookies. After a verified purchase, the success page may temporarily keep the returned order and license result in your browser's session storage so a refresh does not immediately lose it. That session value is limited to the current browser tab session.

4. Music Desktop lookups

When you use Music Desktop, Foldwalls reads the current system Now Playing information on your Mac. To find matching artwork or lyrics, it may send the track title, artist, album, and duration to lyric or music metadata providers, including LRCLIB, NetEase Music, and Apple's iTunes Search service. Foldwalls does not upload the audio file itself or your complete music library to us. Results may be cached locally for faster reuse.

5. Purchases and license activation

Creem is the merchant of record for Foldwalls Pro. Creem processes checkout details such as your name, email address, billing information, payment method, location, tax information, and fraud-prevention signals under Creem's Privacy Policy. Foldwalls does not receive or store your full card number.

To complete a purchase and provide a license, Foldwalls processes the returned order, customer, product, and license identifiers. License activation sends the license key and random installation identifier to the license service. Validation and deactivation use the same identifiers so the app can confirm Pro status and enforce the number of permitted devices.

6. Support communications

If you contact support, we process the email address and information you choose to provide, such as app version, macOS version, device model, screenshots, diagnostic details, and Creem order number. Do not send payment card details. We use support information only to answer the request, resolve the issue, and protect against fraud or abuse.

We use service providers only where needed to operate Foldwalls:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Retention, security, and your choices

Local information remains on your Mac until you remove it or uninstall the app. License and purchase records are retained for as long as needed to provide the license, handle refunds and disputes, prevent abuse, and meet tax or legal obligations. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain support records.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. You can deactivate a Mac in Foldwalls, delete local downloads and imports, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we control. For checkout or payment data controlled by Creem, you may also need to contact Creem.

10. International processing and children

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, they use contractual or other legal safeguards for international transfers. Foldwalls is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in a particular country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated in the app or on this website when appropriate.
